Opening of the Drzewianowo bridge

It is our pleasure to announce the commissioning of yet another bridge structure, which had to undergo a thorough reconstruction. This time, it was over the Krowka river, along the regional road route No.243 km 5+528 in a place called Drzewianowo, in Kuyavian-Pomeranian voivodeship. The work went well and the bridge was operational and handed over to the local community before the deadline.

The reconstruction involved the following work:
1. Demolition of load-bearing structures together with the road surface and railings.
2. Demolition of damaged abutments.
3. Reconstruction of the abutments including bilateral widening and reinforcing foundations.
4. Construction of a new reinforced-concrete bridge structure.
5. Applying a new bituminous proofing layer and road surfacing.
6. Laying pavement blocks.
7. Assembly of crush barrier, guard rail, and railings.
8. Building a retaining wall and revetment of embankments next to the abutments.
9. Revetment of river banks.
10. Adapting the road and pavements approaches to the remodelled bride cross-section.

Key specifications of the bridge:
- bridge span -7.00 m
- total bridge arch -8.50 m
- roadway width - 6.00 m
- total bridge width -10.70 m
- the abutments are a reinforced concrete structure with a solid body framework], girder wings, loaded on a pile foundation - 10 m retaining wall fixed on the Mrocza side.
